Crash has two simple aims: play great songs and have fun doing it.
Crash was formed in 2002 by singer/guitarist Paul Grant-Reason and MotoGP star James Toseland on vocals/piano. The line up is completed by Warren Odell (guitar/bass/vocals) and Gavin Hall (drums).
The band
James | Keyboard & Vocals
Not only is he pretty handy on a MotoGP bike, James is a talented musician with a great voice. Some people have all the luck! When he’s not battling Valentino Rossi and the rest of the MotoGP field, he returns to his first love – music – to let his hair down in style.
Paul | Lead guitar & Vocals
Like James, Paul’s biggest passions in life are music and motorcycles. But unlike JT, Paul opted to make music his career. Paul has many musical influences, some more credible than others. Among the bands that make him tick are AC/DC and… The Carpenters!
Gav | Drums
Being an aspiring drummer and living in a semi-detached house wasn’t the best combination for the young Gav. He had to make do with a set of drumsticks and a couple of cardboard boxes before he got his first kit. But when he did, there was no stopping him. A month later, alongside Paul, Gav was playing his first gig. The rest is history.
Woz | Bass
Although these days Woz is best-known for supplying the bass lines to the rock classics that have made Crash the success that it is, he started his career in music with aspiration of becoming a ‘mod’. Woz is addicted to guitars and amps, and often has competitions with Paul to see who has the latest bit of kit.
